Multicultural
The Multicultural Sexual Health Education Program provides information and support on Sexual Health related issues for the multicultural community living in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Our team has many years of experience working with multicultural communities.
We are sensitive to cultural norms and values, we help clients in adapting to Canadian Society, and we provide our services at an appropriate English level.
Why a Multicultural Program?
Because we want to respond to the specific needs of our cultural communities.
The goal of the Multicultural Program is to provide immigrants with the skills and knowledge to make informed choices around issues of sexuality, within the context of their values, beliefs, culture and experiences.
Who delivers the program?
A team of caring and nonjudgmental professionals delivers our program. We bring together a diversity of skills and expertise as educators, counsellors and community development workers.
What services we offer for the Multicultural Community?
- Workshops and presentations for multicultural communities (Multicultural communities, ESL classes, Settlement agencies, etc.)
- Training for community leaders and helpers as sexual health educators .
- Community-based sexual health needs assessments.
- Education for individuals and families to make informed choices
